Her promising career was cut short as she passed away at the age of 35. Nazia Hassan would have turned 59 years old on April 3rd. She is missed not only by her family but her fans worldwide. At the age of 18, she participated in a beauty contest where she was crowned Miss Bombay. After that she began modelling for several popular brands and was discovered by filmmaker Basu Chatterjee. Her first movie was Raja Kaka in 1974. Vidya Sinha acted in 30 movies over a period of 10 years. She worked with talented actors of Hindi cinema such as Rajesh Khanna, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Vinod Khanna and many others. There are lot of actors who lost on good roles that were once offered to them. For whatever reasons, they were unable to do these films and roles went to other actors. And the other actors became stars with these same roles. Some actors do have regrets for losing out on these roles and some just let it past be past. Actress Mumtaz also rejected a role even though she did the film anyways. She still regrets for not doing the role that was offered to her. Unique thing about this film was that at a time when it was very difficult to rope in 2 actors to appear together in a film, makers of this film were able to sign 9 top hit actors at the time. Director Raj Kumar Kohli made another film with the same name in the year 2002. Jani Dushman from 1970 remains a cult like film even till today.
