The Hedgehog Concept

There's an old Greek parable that says the fox knows a lot of things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing. Foxes are cunning and got lots of ideas to try and get the hedgehog, but the hedgehog does one thing really well. It rolls into an armored ball with spikes on it, nothing can get it, and it does it every time. It always works.

Applying this concept in entrepreneurship is essentially identifying the one thing you can be good at and doing it consistently.

However, it is not as easy as it sounds, especially in the current spirit of entrepreneurship portrayed in social media. Everybody seems to be advocating for multiple streams of income.

This is a terrible idea because, more often than not, you'll end up with half-baked ideas.

You will likely succeed if you focus on one thing, do it well, and do it for a long time. Everything else is a distraction.

Tune in to learn more about the Hedgehog Concept and how to apply it in your business
