Positive Parenting: A Life Changing Approach

    35:58

    — We all have our own unique talents and strengths, however, these are not always recognized or fully developed. Valeria Teles interviews Kathy Bowers — a Parenting Life Coach And Speaker. Kathy Bowers is a parenting life coach. In April 2021 she started her own business online called Life Change Coaching. She decided to specialize in supporting parents with parenting issues to ensure they were able to meet all the needs of their children. Love is not enough. The most important thing as human beings is to ensure we raise and meet all the needs of our children. Parents struggle to be able to address all their children’s needs and this can be due to their own upbringing and life experiences and how they experienced being parented, as well as a lack of knowing what to do. Over the years, we develop from babies to young adults to where we are now. We are individuals, but not all life experiences have been positive or beneficial on our journeys and we carry baggage. Mental health, addiction, low self-esteem, domestic abuse, isolation, trauma, relationship issues are only a few which have an impact on being a “positive individual” and a positive parent and role model. Kathy’s experience and knowledge comes from working with children and their parents as a nursery nurse, nanny, working in children’s homes, day centers, nurseries, infant and primary schools for 20 years where she was hands on with the children and the parents. Being a parent of 3 children who are now adults and bringing them up as a single parent, Kathy’s own life story has not always be smooth sailing. For over 20 years until 2020 she worked directly with children and their parents and extended family, supporting parents to make life changes for the benefit of their children and themselves. She also worked for social care and children and families as a senior family support worker and family practitioner. The children’s needs were not being fully met. Their physical, emotional, social and self-identity, behavior and mental health impacted them and needed to change. The aim was to support parents to make changes in themselves and recognize the impact this had on their parenting. To look at areas that were lacking in what they were offering their children and to ensure they met all the needs of the children. Kathy used her life coaching since qualifying in 2018 for 3 years until she decided to retire and build my own online business to concentrate fully on supporting parents to make positive change. This was when, in April 2021, Life Change Coaching was created. The Power Of A Home Yoga Practice & How to Start

    33:58

    — You love yoga, but you're too tired and busy to fit a studio practice into your schedule. You're looking for ways to fit it into your days without breaking the bank or taking too much time away from loved ones. You want to advance your practice physically, mentally and spiritually so you can feel stronger and show up better for your work and loved ones. Or maybe you've realized you're getting a watered down version of yoga at the gym or studio, but signing up for a teacher training just isn't for you. You also don't know where to start when it comes to guiding yourself at home--especially with all the distractions and alignment rules. Still, you're ready for more and you're ready for a complete home practice. The only way to truly go deeper is to bring your practice home. Valeria Teles interviews Cat Valadez — a Yoga Teacher And Speaker. Cat Valadez has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching since 2011. The best qualities of Vinyasa Flow, biomechanics, yin yoga and mindfulness all find space in her classes to guide students through a practice that is safe, straightforward, and empowering. Though trained in traditional yoga practices, her teaching also remains in-step with new science on anatomy, mobility and biomechanics. Cat is known as a relatable, fun-loving yoga educator who guides with clear, detailed cues to help students embody the practice. Her teaching especially focuses on cultivating strength, stability and self-compassion rather than striving toward exaggerated ranges of motion just for show. Cat's mission is to empower students to personalize and embody their practice, creating ease and strength in their body on the mat so they can find happiness and resilience in their life off the mat. Cultivating Peace, Self-Love, & A Positive Self-Image

    42:49

    — Exploring the relationship between mental health, emotions, and the body - many mental health diagnosis not only have a mental and emotional impact on functioning, but also include a somatic component of expression. In mental health care, we must celebrate the scientific reintegration of mind and body in order to address the entirety of who we are as human beings. Simultaneously, it's beneficial to observe the systems within which we are also embedded that either feed or starve the health of us not only as individuals, but also as communities. The mental health field is growing with evidence-based practices and modalities that embrace the mind-body-community connection allowing for deeper trauma and emotional processing. Such modalities include EMDR therapy, somatic therapy, and expressive art therapy. The Spirituality Of Death And Dying

    42:40

    — The long-awaited reunion of science and spirit has arrived at last. Any reasonable review of the scientific literature of the 21st century firmly establishes the existence of life after death. So why isn’t this common knowledge? Simply because the current science v spirituality debate reflects the science of the 19th century debating the spirituality of the 18th century. Recent advances in end-of-life research, neuroscience, physics, an understanding of spiritual neuroanatomy and experimental research done at diverse locations including Seattle Children’s Hospital and the National Warfare Institute clearly provide irrefutable evidence for the existence of life after death. It is said that dramatic claims demand dramatic evidence. That evidence currently exists.   Dr. Melvin L Morse is a pediatrician who did the first “gold standard” research documenting that, children as they are dying see an entity they call God and feel that they are leaving their physical bodies. As one young girl told me reassuringly, “you’ll see Dr. Morse, heaven is fun!” I published this research in the AMA Pediatric journals. We convincingly documented that the near death experience is real, and not the result of a lack of oxygen to the brain or a by-product of the many medications given dying children. Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Melvin L. Morse — the author of “Where God Lives: The Science of the Paranormal and How Our Brains are Linked to the Universe.” Melvin L Morse, MD, is an acclaimed Pediatrician, voted one of America’s Best Doctors, and author of books on near death experiences and the spirituality of death and dying. He was described by NBC News as doing more than any other scientist to prove the existence of life after death. He was an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington for 20 years. His international best seller Closer to the Light describes the near-death experiences of children. This was based on his studies at Seattle Children’s Hospital under the supervision of the University of Washington’s Human Subject Review Board. To learn more about Dr. Melvin L. Your True Self Is True Love

    39:31

    — Self-love is not to be confused with self-care. Self-care is part of self-love but it’s not the full picture. Self-love is a loving place to be, especially if you have spent many years caring for others and neglecting yourself. Self-love is, and should be, a priority. To truly help another human being, you must first be aligned with your true self. The more you focus on your well-being, cultivating and nurturing it, the more confidently you will be able to stand before someone with a problem and experience their true upliftment. Jenn had been looking for love, for worth, for many things, but she never found any of those things outside of herself. To find love, you must BE love, to find worth, you must BE worthy. You ARE love, you ARE worthy, these are your unwavering truths. Valeria Teles interviews Jenn Bruer — the author of “Helping Effortlessly: A Book of Inspiration and Healing.”  Jenn Bruer is a counsellor, burnout prevention & recovery trainer and consultant, parenting coach, mindfulness advisor, cooking instructor, keto diet proponent, and retired foster parent after 18 years of service. Jenn is the author of self-help book Helping Effortlessly: A Book of Healing and Inspiration, based on her personal experience recovering from burnout. Nurturing Your Relationship Like A Garden

    45:11

    — Nurture your relationship like a garden, have the courage to explore and share your unconscious beliefs, get help, and have realistic expectations that love ebbs and flows over time. For long-term happiness, we need to identify the unconscious relationship patterns and expectations each person brings to the partnership and consciously decide what kind of partnership both want. Carrying around unresolved resentment is harmful to the immune system as well as to the couple bond. For growth to develop we need a partner who is willing to explore the deeper subconscious influences on our interactions, like becoming aware that the biggest part of an iceberg under the surface directs its movement. Staying on the surface is like driving blindfolded. Valeria Teles interviews Gayle Kimball — the author of “Happy Marriages: 30 Global Couples Tell Their Stories.” Gayle Kimball, Ph.D. is an intuitive coach who teaches clairvoyance and healing webinars, and is the author of over 20 books. They include Calm Parents and Children, Essential Energy Tools: How to Develop Your Clairvoyant and Healing Abilities illustrated with videos and CDs, Mysteries of Reality: Dialogues with Visionary Scientists, Mysteries of Healing, Mysteries of Knowledge Beyond the Sense, Everything You Need to Know to Succeed After College and Quick Healthy Recipes. A college professor most of her life, she’s also a ballroom dancer. Essential Oils: Natural Living & Healing

    37:35

    — At the core of our very existence is how we feel, and these feelings are intricately tied into our day-to-day existence and how well we adapt to the never-ending stressors of life. To be unhealthy or unwell emotionally, mentally, or physically is to be vulnerable at the deepest level of our humanity. This puts us at risk of developing further problems with our health, finances, and relationships, on our job, and in our spiritual life. We are only as strong as our weakest link, and all areas of our life are interconnected. To be “strong,” on the other hand, is necessitated by joy. Joy will fuel and empower us through all obstacles, and it’s vital to overcome chronic disease. It’s okay (and oftentimes necessary) to get help. If you suffer from chronic disease of any sort is important to seek support from a qualified professional if it’s impacting your mental well-being. As well intentioned as our loved ones may be, they are oftentimes unable to help us through those rough times, and having someone stable in your life to act as an anchor can make all the difference in the world. Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Eric Zielinski — the author of “The Essential Oils Apothecary: Advanced Strategies and Protocols for Chronic Disease and Conditions.” Dr. Eric Zielinski has pioneered natural living and biblical health education since 2003. Trained as an aromatherapist, public health researcher, and chiropractor, Dr. Z started the Natural Living Family.com in 2014 with his wife to help people learn how to use natural remedies like essential oils safely and effectively. Now visited by more than three million natural health seekers every year, Natural Living Family has rapidly become the number one online source for biblical health and non-branded essential oils education.  To learn more about Dr. Eric Zielinski and his work, please visit: naturallivingfamily.com     — This podcast is a quest for well-being, a quest for a meaningful life through the exploration of fundamental truths, enlightening ideas, insights on physical, mental, and spiritual health. A Whole-Body Approach To Balanced Living

    36:58

    — The Chinese pattern theory says we must keep the body’s subtle channels clear in order for qi— vital energy—to flow freely and unencumbered. We must take care to nourish the energy, cultivate it by not going over or under. This means not overdoing things: stressing, worrying, spending, eating, or exercising. It also means not underdoing things either: not giving enough attention to sleep, rest, play, meditation, or connecting with the people we love. The middle path, which is the Tao, keeps us balanced—not too tight, not too loose. Valeria Teles interviews Dr. Denise Wiesner — the author of “Conceiving with Love: A Whole-Body Approach to Creating Intimacy, Reigniting Passion, and Increasing Fertility.” Dr. Denise Wiesner DACM, L. Ac., founder of the Natural Healing and Acupuncture Clinic in West Los Angeles, is an internationally recognized traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, specializing in the Whole Systems Chinese medicine approach to women’s health, sexuality, and fertility. Since 1994, Denise has treated and helped women manage challenges from menstrual disorders through menopause, and from infertility to pregnancy. Using a combination of acupuncture, diet and lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplements, and Chinese herbs, Denise has helped thousands of couples navigate the tricky, and often stressful, journey toward fertility, without losing their loving connection. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Kinesiology (UCLA), a Master of Arts in traditional Chinese medicine (Emperor's College), a Doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Science. She is also a certified sex coach and board-certified by the State of California and the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). Denise teaches professional seminars to medical doctors, OB/GYNs, and nurse midwives on the application of Chinese medicine in obstetrics and gynecology and has published articles on acupuncture and infertility. In addition to a thriving private practice, Denise lectures at conferences, works closely with reproductive endocrinologists.  In her spare time, she relishes practicing yoga, dancing, and playing guitar.  She loves to travel and hang out with her two sons, Noah and Ethan and Peetie her cockatoo.  To learn more about Dr. Denise Wiesner and her work, please visit: denisewiesner.com and naturalhealingacupuncture.com       — This podcast is a quest for well-being, a quest for a meaningful life through the exploration of fundamental truths, enlightening ideas, insights on physical, mental, and spiritual health.
