In this talk, Rev Lee discusses that when we become mindful of our emotions, we can recognize them as they arise, and then we are able to respond more calmly. For instance, if someone feels anger, they can mindfully observe the feeling rather than act on it impulsively, which reduces the likelihood of saying or doing something they might later regret.
