Productivity Hacks For Eliminating Distractions And Unlocking Elite Focus | David Wood | Replay

    52:18

In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, we have a spectacular guest, David Wood who shares insights about setting the goals for success, building awareness, winning the battle of distractions and productivity, and unlocking elite focus! David is a high-performance coach, founder of Focus.CEO, helps business owners to double revenue by staying focused, achieving more, and becoming a more extraordinary entrepreneur and human, and author of “Get Paid For Who You Are,” with a foreword by Jack Canfield. He coaches high performing entrepreneurs, executives, and teams – and now prison inmates – to create amazing results and deep connection. Also, he is a former Consulting Actuary to Fortune 100 companies – including Sony Music, Chanel, and Exxon – David left his cushy Park Avenue job 20 years ago to build the world’s largest coaching business. He became #1 on Google for “life coaching”, serving an audience of 150,000 coaches, and coaching thousands of hours across 12 countries. David was fascinated by games and systems but realized that there’s another side of life which is the actual game of life. In 25 years, he studied vulnerability, emotional intimacy, and leadership. Now, David’s niche is helping people. Individuals come to him for not just work on money but productivity, and focus. Focus is really an exciting topic for him. David believes that money is a very important aspect of life but it’s not everything but happiness and fulfillment is. As a coach, he provides the most value for his clients. Guiding not just earning double in their business revenue, but having a human connection and relationships. Furthermore, David suggests the importance of identifying your short-term and long-term goals. Never forget to do the things that matter to you and in your business. For David, it is maintaining integrity in doing the things you’re passionate about. So, you can feel like a Rockstar at the end of the day. Put frameworks around your goals to create more awareness, and accountability in order to be extremely productive. Thus, be vigilant and disciplined at the macro level to be super focused. Be more proactive in protecting yourself from distractions. It is setting up an environment for success. Just stay hyper-focused and disciplined, and don’t let focus be taken away from you. More importantly, never missed having time for yourself to recharge, celebrate, and plan. Give time on focusing on replenishment of your energy and nutrients. Only work when you’re working really well, and then only rest when you’re resting really well. Finally, in the world of the monkey mind full of distractions, it is necessary to have the courage to face fears and turn them into confidence. Be committed to doing extraordinary things daily. Identify what you are afraid of and name it! Some Questions I Ask: How did you get into the space of helping people achieve more and be more through productivity and focus? (01:00) Where do people start in your opinion, and what mistakes do you see them making to create more awareness at the beginning of this journey for themselves? (04:36) What are your thoughts around using that time to create clarity so you can get in the trenches and execute when it’s time? (09:27) What are some of the biggest distractions and things that you see people being pulled away from their flow state and productivity state? (18:22) How bad do you really want the outcome? What extremes are you willing to go to in order to achieve them? (27:00) How do you explain to people the importance of the 30% of being more daring, and more courageous in their daily lives and maybe in their business? (35:05)  In This Episode, You Will Learn: How the Monkey Mind Work at a Macro and Micro Level (05:55) Morning Routine Tips (10:28) Hacks for Eliminating Distractions and Unlocking Focus (18:41) A Weekly CEO Date with Yourself (28:06) Why Courage is Important (35:51)  Quotes:  “We’ve got shiny objects in the gem and the human mind is like a monkey uncracked.” “Let’s work when we’re working really well and then let’s rest when we’re resting really well.” Connect with David Wood on:  Focus.ceo Get Paid For Who You Are book by David Wood LinkedIn

Leadership Secrets of the Elite Special Forces | Mike Sarraille | Replay

    57:50

In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, we have a wonderful guest Mike Sarraille, who shares his military journey, how his life was saved by a comrade during a combat mission, leaderships, why self-preservation is vital for being a leader, the significance of training and managing talent, feedback loop and self-assessment, and the secrets on how to be a millionaire! Mike Sarraille is an entrepreneur, a keynote speaker, an expert in leadership development, talent acquisition, and talent management, a retired U.S. Navy SEAL officer and a former enlisted Recon Marine and Scout-Sniper, a former principal at Echelon Front, a management consulting firm alongside the co-authors of Extreme Ownership, Jocko Willink, and Leif Babin. He is the founder, managing partner, and CEO of EF Overwatch, a specialized executive search firm, and talent advisory that finds high-performing business leaders for senior, executive, or other critical leadership positions. Also, he co-authored the book, ‘The Talent War: How Special Operations and Great Organizations Win on Talent’ and a columnist for Men’s Journal and Men’s Fitness under ‘The Everyday Warrior’ column. When Mike retires from the military after 20 years of service, that's when he starts having self-reflection, conceptualizing things, and learning from his experiences. He realized that leadership, skills, and characteristics evolved during those dark times in the military field. Thus, he let himself grow and learn the things he must know and use this to make a new career in entrepreneurship.  Now, he has become one of the experts in this field. Prior to that, he experiences ups and downs. But even with having that tough-guy persona, he believes that in order to stay in the game, you should not be afraid to talk to people when you’re feeling off, and ultimately seek God’s help. One thing that he encourages young people to do! Some Questions I Ask: For those who don’t know who Mike is, and what EF Overwatch is, give us a little bit of a background, and history real quick? (00:52) Being able to humanize such a dark part of the military, and still be able to perform and function insanely, where do those that come from? (02:58) Going back to your own journey, what were some of those moments that you felt like you wanted to quit, and what got you pushing through? (05:33) You mentioned, leadership, skills, and characteristics evolved during some of those dark times, what does your reflective process look like? How should people who want to be great leaders deal with trauma or challenges, process some of these things, and use them as weapons instead of hiding them out and being ashamed of them? (08:10) How did you have this patience and persistence to keep pushing every day no matter what was in front of you?  (14:03) You talk about recharge, what do you do to refill the cup? (16:59) If you were to give yourself an award for quality or characteristic that you’re at least led to that you felt was your superpower that you had a little bit of an edge on your brothers and sisters, what would that be and why? (19:05) How do you unplug and come home and still live intentionally with your wife, your family, and your health beyond just the “job or the career that you’ve chosen for yourself”? (20:42) With the people around you that you give permission to kind of hold you accountable, how critical is that not only in the team and in the organizational environment but in the personal environment for people to really achieve optimum and peak performance and just get the most out of themselves in life? (23:23) It takes time to be an expert in a particular field, how do you communicate that to the young hustler? (33:27) What are some of the best organizations doing in terms of motivating, inspiring, empowering, and really equipping their people? How are they helping them sharpen their axes, and what does that look like in today’s landscape? (37:29) How does preparation tie into this civilian and entrepreneurial world? (44:51) Just give us a broad spectrum on what the Talent War Group has to offer for the individuals that want to engage with you guys? (47:33) In This Episode, You Will Learn: Feedback loop: Why you need to slow down when bad things happen (09:30) Mike’s definition of courage (12:04) The 4 must-characteristics on to be a high performer in the operation (24:36) The steps on how to get more money (31:35) Quotes: “It’s okay to talk to people when you’re feeling off.” “Impact into others in a life of constant achievement.” “The greatest currency in life is not money, it impacts other people.” “As a leader, you wait for the last.” “If you’re completely selfless, and you’re giving to others, there’s a point to where you can’t give anymore.” “It’s the small little things that indirect approach that ultimately leads you to make more money or whatever goal you want to reach.” “Good things take time.” “There is an infinite return on investing in people.” “If you don’t manage your talent, your talent will leave you.” “You can never eliminate risks but you can mitigate it through preparation.” “Fortune actually favors the prepared.” “The people that are victims in life are the ones that were ill-prepared.” “People don’t rise to the occasion at the end of the day, they fall to the rebel of training.” Connect with Mike Sarraile on: The Talent War Group The Talent War book by Mike Sarraile

The 10 Commandments Of Cash Flow Investing And Passive Income | Justin Donald | Replay

    1:03:32

In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, we have an incredible guest, Justin Donald who imparts amazing insights on the importance of building relationships versus any material things, cash flow investing and passive income, few tips on investing places that people should be careful of, type of companies that Justin is investing in, and why investing in yourself is essential! Justin is an entrepreneur, consultant, and adviser for entrepreneurs, executives, and successful media personalities on lifestyle investing, a member of Tiger 21,  a board member of Front Row Foundation International, principal owner at MHP Equity Group, co-founder at IFM Restoration, and founder at Lifestyle Investor, a company that helps clients build a cashflow-driven lifestyle investor portfolio through a customized mentorship and advisory program. He has negotiated deals with over 100 companies, multiplied his net worth to over eight figures, and maintained a family-centric lifestyle. His ethos is to “create wealth without creating a job.” Entrepreneur Magazine calls him the “Warren Buffett of Lifestyle Investing.”  Host of The Lifestyle Investor podcast and author of the best-selling book, “The Lifestyle Investor: The 10 Commandments of Cash Flow Investing for Passive Income and Financial Freedom”. All proceeds from the book go to Love Justice International, a nonprofit fighting human trafficking in 17 countries. It was in his late 20s when he first built his real estate company specializing in mobile home parks. Justin has invested heavily in real estate and owns several profitable real estate-related businesses, has a large portfolio of multifamily rentals, and several other successful operating companies. Justin feels very blessed with having a fruitful season for the assets that he purchased over the years. Aside from that, he is a relationship guy by default. For him, wealth stands weigh beyond money. He curated an amazing network of friends. He is blessed by his community, friends, and family. Thus, he always wanted to pour back into the people again. Being a student of anything and everything, he constantly finds things to learn, and always wanted to share them  to others. On the other hand, Justin emphasizes that entrepreneurs should not be a slave of the business and should not be working more for your wanted lifestyle. Instead, letting the business work for you and provide it. Also, he believes that you don’t need to have a great net worth to have a really good cash flow. Your lifestyle should not be tied to the cash flow and your net worth because net worth is a deceiving number! Some Questions I Ask: How the heck are you doing? (01:01) Have you always that approach in terms of adding value, and genuinely cultivate, nurture, and care about your relationships on creating wealth and freedom? (03:52) Where was that spark of desire coming from to be an entrepreneur, to be wealthier, have a bigger lifestyle, and big goals? (06:42) What was that first business that you started? (10:49) How did you settle on mobile home parks and that asset class? (13:54) In that first vertical of wealth building, do you have to be the expert or should you be the expert or want to become the expert or just build a team right away and delegate a lot of these things? (16:51) How long did you live below your means and did you really feel like maybe you can increase your lifestyle a little bit? (19:34) What do you say to that person who doesn’t know where to start to get that lifestyle and freedom piece? (25:15) What do those layers mean to you, and what do they look like for you? (27:58) If you were to say in terms of a healthy template around diversification in terms of all the different asset classes that are out there right now if you got to pick, what would you allocate accordingly? (32:36) What trends maybe are you paying attention to or are you seeing some promise in? (38:16) What is your daily routine in terms of research and analytics, and how do you educate yourself and spotlight things, and pursue them? (42:39) For those who don’t know about your book the Lifestyle Investor, what can they expect to pick that up? (48:34) In This Episode, You Will Learn:                       Why Relationships Matters More Than Anything Else (05:37) Tips for Newbies in Real Estate Investing (17:11) How to Find Invisible Deals (41:55)  Quotes: “I’m a student of anything and everything.” “Relationships are everything.” “I don’t have to have a great net worth to have really good cash flow.” Connect with Justin Donald on:  Website The Lifestyle Investor book by Justin Donald LinkedIn
