James Winstanley was also in a duo, playing the hang drum and came to play a few sessions in our yoga shala and we became firm friends. Coco Francavilla is not a scientist or an ocean explorer. She has a long history as a musician and working in the music industry.  For 25 years, as a composer, artist, and sound engineer she has been immersed in the music world—fascinated by how art and science intertwine.  I’ve explored sound not just as music, but as something deeper—how it can unite, heal, and inspire us and that is exactly why she set up  her NGO, Musicforthesea.org. Through multidisciplinary and artistic engagements, the aim is to enhance understanding and appreciation of marine ecosystems. Together, she wishes we can protect the Ocean because it is integral to our future—the Ocean is us, and we are the Ocean.
