Questions I ask Jay:
- Hypothalamic amenorrhea in women is when energy intake is so low, and typically energy output is also too high, and a menstrual cycle stops. Let’s talk about what this looks like for men? RED-S etc.
- Many people, in particular women, feel like men (eg, their partners) don’t have to eat as much, can skip meals etc, and can train as much as they want, and it’s difficult for women to continue eating to heal with this comparison. Is it true? Can men just train and fast as they want with no repercussions?
- What are some signs and symptoms that a males hormones are “out of balance”
- TRT for men is everywhere: It feels like this huge discussion is advertising that TRT in any and all men has absolutely no negative repercussions and only an upside. Is there truly no cost to TRT for men? Should they all be going to their doctor to try and get it? Do these clinics opening up specifically for TRT make senes for the most part?
- Many already unwell women, and likely men, believe that so long as they are eating enough they should be able to exercise during a healing phase. What does it look like for exercise to actually be harmful?
