"Your job is to be in school" -- a phrase students have been hearing for years. But what does this mean? Sierra connects her expericence in creating balance to the understanding of what it means to be a student. 

After a semester in college and six months into being eighteen, Sierra reflects what she has learned along the way. From friends being chosen family, to having everything one needs -- there are thoughful stories in each lesson tying weight to her words. 

Throughout life we are given choices. Some easy, some hard and others in the middle. In college we have to make many decisions and it is our job to align our choices with what we ultimately want in life. 

There are many demanding forces that make up a student's life: lectures, assignments, and reading. But, there are also conflicts and trials that shift our focus as well.
