One of our favorite New York shows is back and… headed to Hollywood?!
We’ll break down the bicoastal mystery in season 4 of Only Murders in the Building, and revisit all 3 seasons of Hulu’s hit comedy: From Tim Kono to Ben Glenroy, we’ll discuss all the ways the show has evolved since its surprising summer 2021 premier. Between its annual consistency and willingness to take big swings, we’re thrilled to hear the show has already been renewed for a season 5.
But first! We’re going down to South Park for some news!
- Yes, we’re talking about Comedy Central’s parent company Paramount and the literal parent bankrolling the Skydance merger (it’s on again!)...
- … and the news that South Park is sitting out the election (and the rest of 2024). Are creators Matt and Trey sick of politics, or are they sick of Paramount’s legal battle with Warner Bros. Discovery over streaming rights to one of TV’s most iconic animated comedies? (A deal that expires in 2025!)
- And speaking of animated comedies: Can you guess which two pillars of adult animation are current mainstays on the Nielsen streaming charts? We’ll take a look at the top 10 for the first week of August and celebrate the latest 2000s-era show to be crowned “cool again” by Netflix: Prison Break.
