New Drops

This months update comes from danish composer and music researcher Jonas Olesen. He's been around the game for many years with a special interest in early media and pioneering music practices. Most recently he has released the book Else Marie Pade: Complete Electronic Works 1955-2012. The book provides the most comprehensive presentation of Pade's electronic works to date.Jonas has granted us nearly 3 hours of music related to his research, his imprint BIN aswell as his own compositional endeavours. We’re back from holiday and ready to add new sounds to our flowing radio stream. We’ve asked the Swedish artist Aske Thiberg to contribute some of the sounds from his practice to our archive at The Lake Radio. And graciously he has provided us with a wonderful mix of music from dance performances, videos and readings of three of his short stories. Askes work is digging into themes of loneliness and alienation, anxiety and melancholy, rhythm and weight, in a sometimes playful, sometimes serious manner.
