The Locked on Nets guys are back at it with a podcast as the Nets prepare to host Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. It could be a Finals’ preview for the two teams though we are still early in the season. The big news for Brooklyn is that Joe Harris is out with an ankle sprain after getting hurt in the second quarter against the Thunder on Sunday. It looked bad in the moment and the Nets confirm that he will miss this one.  The guys talk about how this loss affects the Nets in the short term and how they can replace what Harris provides on offense, especially with the spacing. Of course, Patty Mills will have to pick up some slack, but this is a bigger loss for the team than most fans might realize.  Subscribe to the Locked on Nets Youtube Channel for this episode and more Learn more about your ad choices. As Brooklyn looks to continue winning ways, John Karalis breaks down the surging Celtics

    51:42

Brooklyn heads to Boston, and that means a great cross over episode with John Karalis from the Locked On Celtics podcast. Adam and John take a deep dive on the match up, starting with the how the heck Boston has won eight out of eleven while being among the worst three point shooting teams in the league. First year head coach and former Nets assistant Ime Udoku took time to remold the defensive mindset, a process which has paid dividends of late and could prove frustrating for James Harden as he looks to get downhill at the basket. John knows Kevin Durant is unstoppable, but he highlights how the Robert Williams III and Al Horford impact could loom large for a Nets team just scratching the surface of a new potential rotation at the Center position. On the eve of Thanksgiving, this has all the makings of a great game, one the Nets will want to win before returning to Brooklyn on a four game home stand starting with Phoenix on Saturday night. Cam Thomas has arrived, rookie spurs Nets to victory over the Cavs

    38:08

The Nets came away with a 117-112 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday and it was because of some major adjustments the team made throughout the course of the game. While he only played 15 minutes, Cam Thomas had his best game as a pro, putting in 11 points during a crucial stretch in the third quarter that saw the Nets erase a nine-point deficit. Thomas put in nine of his points during this run and left the game with the Nets in the lead.  Steve Nash and company also made a key switch in this one, benching Blake Griffin and starting LaMarcus Aldridge in the second half. His minutes, plus those of James Johnson were key in how the Nets attacked the Cavs. It was a team effort in this one. The Locked on Nets guys go through some of the adjustments and key changes the team made that helped them win.  Subscribe to the Locked On Nets YouTube Channel Learn more about your ad choices. Nets got a classic James Harden performance, but injuries are a problem

    32:19

The Locked on Nets podcast is back to start the week, talking about the Nets win over the Orlando Magic on Friday, but also the continued and mounting injury concerns for the team. The game against Orlando ended up being a close one with Brooklyn falling down early but then mounting a huge third quarter. James Harden was his vintage self, putting up 36 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in his 41 minutes. He took 25 shots and also got to the line 20 times as well. The Nets needed all of it to come away with the victory. There were some others who stepped up as well with Brooklyn getting great games from Patty Mills and James Johnson especially. But Bruce Brown left with a hamstring issue in the second and the Nets continue to deal with injuries up and down the roster.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

To start, they discuss the end of the game against the Cavaliers and what was happening with Kevin Durant over the last five minutes. He was completely disengaged and uninvolved before subbing out with a few seconds remaining. Is there a problem with the Nets’ superstar? The guys discuss what this sequence could mean.  And then they also look at the minutes being played by Durant and James Harden to start the season. It’s been a lot to start and there could be growing concern that they are overextending too much early on. What should Steve Nash and the coaching staff be doing to make sure this team doesn’t burn out? Subscribe to the Locked on Nets YouTube channel Learn more about your ad choices. Patty Mills and LaMarcus Aldridge lift the Nets to a win over depleted Cavs team

    34:53

The Nets came in on the second half of the back-to-back against the Cleveland Cavaliers and came away with the win. It shouldn’t have been this hard considering the Cavs were really working with a depleted roster. The Nets jumped out to a solid halftime lead but a run in the third quarter left this game closer than it should have been. Patty Mills and LaMarcus Aldridge were the story for Brooklyn with Mills dropping in 21 points and Aldridge adding 24 off the bench. Getting secondary scoring from players beyond James Harden and Kevin Durant is the key and they needed it from these two tonight.  Subscribe to the Locked on Nets YouTube Channel Learn more about your ad choices. Steph Curry shines, Kevin Durant and Nets look shaky in loss to Warriors

    37:21

The Warriors took it to the Nets on Tuesday night, dumping Brooklyn 117-99 on a night when one of the three stars on the court really stepped up. Steph Curry looked every bit of unstoppable, dropping 37 points in just 29 minutes on the way to a very easy win for the Warriors. Golden State came out in the second half and kept their foot on the gas, wearing the Nets down with the pace of the game and killing them with the spacing. The Locked on Nets guys discuss the game, the problems the Nets had on both ends of the court as well as some curious decisions by the coaching staff on their rotations.  Subscribe to the Locked on Nets YouTube Channel Learn more about your ad choices. James Harden and Kevin Durant return to OKC, come away with a blowout win

    35:56

The Locked on Nets guys Adam Armbrecht and Doug Norrie are back with another episode, this time kicking the week off right following a Nets win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday evening. Kevin Durant and James Harden made their return to Oklahoma City for the first time as teammates and the Nets dispatched the Thunder with relative ease. Durant was his MVP-like self on the evening, dropping in 33 points without really seeming to break a sweat. And then there was Patty Mills off the bench who went 9-10 from behind the arc and filled in when Joe Harris went down with an ankle injury. The Nets have now won their last three and eight of their last nine.  Subscribe to the Locked on Nets YouTube Channel for this episode and more Learn more about your ad choices. The Brooklyn Nets are winning because of their elite defense

    33:56

It’s a packed Friday episode of Locked on Nets and Doug Norrie is breaking down some really encouraging signs for Brooklyn so far this season. The first is that the defense has been excellent, especially over the last six or so games. They now rank 4th in the league in terms of defensive efficiency and have been making gains at that end of the court. Some of it is the scheme, but it also has a lot to do with making sure one of Bruce Brown or DeAndre Bembry is on the court at all times. For a team that seems like it should be built on offense with Kevin Durant and James Harden, it’s the defensive side of the ball that’s winning.  Then there’s a preview of Friday’s matchup against the Pelicans. New Orleans is among the worst teams in the league this season and are coming in with a terrible record. The Nets should take care of business there and Doug gives a breakdown of what to expect.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
