On today’s show I am joined by Kevin Till. Kevin is a Professor of Athletic Development and programme director for the Doctor of Professional Practice in Sport with the Carnegie School of Sport at Leeds Beckett University, where he combines his academic expertise and practical experiences to enhance applied research and knowledge exchange within sport science, coaching and athletic development as an academy Strength & Conditioning coach at Leeds Rhinos. Kevin also has extensive experience of working with athletes in developmental and elite sport. He has worked as a strength and conditioning coach at Leeds United Football Club, Yorkshire County Cricket Club, in Rugby League with the Castleford Tigers & Bradford Bulls and in Rugby Union with Yorkshire Carnegie. He has also provided services to national governing bodies including the Rugby Football League, Rugby Football Union, the UK Strength & Conditioning Association, BASES, English Institute of Sport, World Rugby and of course iCoachKids. On today’s episode Kevin discusses his coaching background and influences, his sporting and academic journey, his work and research within Talent Identification and Development Systems, the RAMPAGE framework and how it allows for holistic athlete development across multiple factors and much more.
