Joliet Police officers involved in a 2022 arrest now have been cleared of charges

Joliet Police arrested then-officer Dwayne Killian because he allegedly had unauthorized possession of Task Force equipment, despite being sent several notices to return it. Killian filed a civil rights lawsuit against five officers. This week in a judgement, charges were dropped against four of the officers before the trial started. In the trial, a jury found Joliet Sergeant Edward Grizzle did not violate Killian's constitutional rights.
