Why sometimes starting over can be the best decision you ever make? This message is very important for leaders, entrepreneurs, and for those who are experiencing personal growth. Change can be scary, but it often leads to incredible growth and new opportunities. Every single day, with the help of God, we have the chance to wake up and walk as a higher version of ourselves.Letting go of the past and embracing a fresh start can help us introduce our past to a new, empowered version of ourselves. I strongly encourage you to stop feeling worried or even guilty about what others may say; instead, focus on making the most of the time you have been given. Life is short, and you were created to soar… and that's why starting over may be the best thing you can do.When you're dealing with a difficult situation, remember that you could be going through a refinement process that is strengthening you. Just as gold is purified, so too are you being shaped into something extraordinary.As we reflect on Isaiah 43:18-19, we remind ourselves that we are here today and gone tomorrow, and it's never too late to make a change. In Part 1, we discussed the internal battle we face. We learned it is not fair to compare the person we are becoming to the person we used to be—it's simply not a fair fight.Part 2 shifts our focus to the external battle, when God fights our battles. He shows favor on whom He wants to show favor. There are so many examples found in the Bible from Moses, Joseph, Abraham, David, the 12 Disciples, and many others. When God shows up, it’s not a fair fight, and that is a good thing because God is on your side. You are His! God has shown favor on us by defending us, protecting us, and loving us, even when we didn’t feel His presence.When God’s favor is upon you, there is truly no fair fight. Read 2 Kings 19 and Judges 6 & 7 for encouragement. He can open doors and allow blessings to flow in ways that are beyond comprehension, helping you overcome challenges and move forward in your spiritual journey. I pray this message encourages and reassures you that God's favor is on your life because it is not a fair fight. It's Not a Fair Fight! In Part 1 of 2, I discuss the internal battles you can face when comparing your former self to the person you are becoming now. Many times, as you pursue your dreams and goals, you focus on what hasn't been working out. However, I want to remind you this new version of yourself needs time to prepare and mature. When you don’t allow this progress to happen, it is not a fair fight against yourself. Your beliefs and thoughts about yourself have an impact on your mindset, identity, and personal growth. In this video, I share of a workshop session I conducted with members of the Unlocking Greatness community to help you better understand why it is not a fair fight.As you begin to take the first steps into the new role that God has called you to, it’s essential to give yourself grace because you are becoming a new person. You are on your way to getting to the other side of fear. If you focus on where you are going—your goals and the God-given purpose you have—you will emerge stronger on the other side of fear.
