    Joseph E. Murphy, JD, CCEP, is Senior Advisor to Compliance Strategists. For over 40 years, Joe has been a tireless champion of compliance and ethics in organizations and has done compliance work on six continents. He did compliance work in-house for 20 years, and co-founded a company that did online training. Joe has published over 100 articles and given over 200 presentations in 21 countries. He is Editor of SCCE’s Compliance & Ethics Professional magazine, has served on SCCE’s board, and is SCCE’s Director of Public Policy (pro bono). Joe has been recognized with SCCE’s Compliance and Ethics award, received the Concurrences 2021 Antitrust Compliance Awards, Special Award, and was named one of The National Law Journal’s 50 Governance, Risk and Compliance Trailblazers and Pioneers.      Lisa Fine is Sr. Counsel and Director, Compliance for Pearson Education, the world’s leading learning company.   She is involved in all aspects of the ethics and compliance program, including trainings and communications, risk assessments and leading and managing global investigations.  Lisa started her legal career at an international law firm, where she was a litigator and also ran the Washington, D.C. pro bono program.  She also worked in public interest law and advocating on behalf of persons with disabilities as part of a state protection and advocacy organization.  Those roles brought her to work in the area of compliance as it allows her to help shape practices to support ethical decision-making.Lisa also co-hosts the "Great Women in Compliance" podcast with Mary Shirley.  This weekly podcast focuses on the diversity of the compliance community and the accomplishments of women in our field (and others who support women in compliance).   They are also the authors of Sending the Elevator Back Down: What We’ve Learned from Great Women in Compliance (CCI Press 2020), where women share their stories of their careers and experiences.Lisa received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her undergraduate agree from Tufts University.   She grew up in Buffalo, N.Y., and as the daughter of an attorney and a librarian, she feels fortunate to work in a role at Pearson that combines learning and being able to use her legal background.  She lives in Washington, D.C.

Through his highly acclaimed Total Internship Management Workshop, Dr. Shindell has trained thousands of employers to build and sustain meaningful internship programs across the country. He has also worked with hundreds of colleges and universities in the workforce development area, as well as developing comprehensive strategic initiatives, supporting plan implementation, and building successful teams.Dr. Shindell also serves as a member of the Distinguished Scientists Advisory Board for the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) to maximizing The United States Department of Energy’s strategic objectives. In addition to expanding ORISE thought leadership, the DSAB works closely with ORISE leadership, technical experts, and liaisons to ensure that strategic milestones related to ORISE activities are met.Dr. Shindell earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University, a master’s degree in training and development from Midwestern State University, and a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Toledo. Dr. Shindell is also an adjunct faculty member in the College of Business and Communications at Concordia University of Texas.Dr. Shindell is originally from Lancaster County Pennsylvania, but currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife of 14 years, Christy. Robert and Christy have two amazing kids, Jack (11) and Charley (7). When not working, Dr. Shindell is active in his children’s school and sports activities as well as serving on various volunteer boards for the Leander (TX) Independent School District.
