Lorebeards

A rare treat is when the Lorebeards shuffle away from simply exploring the lore that is written by others and instead put on their creative hats to make something entirely new! There have been quite a few requests for a return to this format after the popular Tamurkhan Brother's/Throne of Chaos series so at last the time has come! This time the Lorebeards will be calling upon Skink artisans and Kroxigor movers to assist with the construction of a brand new Lizardmen Temple-City! Along with a considerable amount of aid from the live audience during this stream, we'll have to figure out where to put this city, how to theme it, what structures it'll need, and much more! One of the oldest named characters in Warhammer Fantasy, Golgfag truly is the greatest mercenary to ever live. He's fought, killed, and eaten damn near every creature known and will happily accept anyone's coin. Not only has he achieved legendary status due to his own exploits, but has even spawned an absurd number of copycats to the point that "Maneater" is just the standard term for Ogre mercenaries now. One of the most popular Wednesday night formats that has emerged amongst the history of Lorebeards is our totally-not-insane Tierlist streams that rank a particular subject within the Warhammer world. Today a rather sinister yet comical subject matter has arrived to be ranked! That of course being the infamous Council of Thirteen, the masters of the Skaven Under-Empire! Join Andy & Sotek as they delve deep into the history, strengths, and Lords of Decay ruling over each of the Clans. How will they rank up? These streams include a considerable amount of community involvement so we'll have to see what happens!

Today we'll be venturing into the Eastern Steppes, north of Grand Cathay's Great Bastion. A wild windswept plain of incredible size known for being the last uncorrupted land before one reaches the Chaos Wastes. Among the tall grasses and cracked dry patches lies an entire nation of incredible size, despite having no cities or stone foundations. Instead it is an colossal tide of Giant Wolves and Hobhounds pulling settlements built upon wheeled platforms that roams around to stay ahead of Chaos hordes and strike at vulnerable targets to loot and plunder. This is the Hobgoblin Khanate, made up by the titular Hobgoblins. A strange sub-species of the Greenskins race that are infamous for their backstabbing nature and nomadic lifestyle. Without further ado let's get into it!

The time has come for Loremaster of Sotek & Andy Law to continue their celebration of a year's worth of Lorebeards after Grandfather Nurgle wreaked a bit of havoc on the schedule. It has been an unparalleled pleasure to engage in weekly discussions about our favorite setting with you all whether it be about the myriad races and characters found across the width of the world.
