The Peacemaker gang is back and after having saved the world last season they’re doing about as well as you’d expect. Not great. This week we discuss season two of James Gunn’s Peacemaker. It’s a spooky special edition of Biff! where we venture forth into a world of zombies and superheroes. In a four episode animated adventure we follow a rag tag band of survivors as they try to find a cure for the zombie plague that has engulfed their world. So, you know, pretty standard fare. From the Sea Peoples to the 20th century each episode takes a slice of history and explores through the eyes of a Wakandan agent out to keep the secret and power of vibranium from falling into the wrong hands. When a gang of misfits find themselves at the bottom of a deep hole they learn to support each other so they can all climb out. Also, they’re all dealing mental health issues but I’m pretty sure that’s metaphorically unrelated. We’re back with Bucky, Yolena, Mad Cap, and super-friends for Thunderbolts*! Forth time’s a charm? The Fantastic Four are back on the big screen and they’re better than ever! We’re off to the lovely universe of Earth-828. A place just brimming with Silver Age charm where you’ll find Moleman, intelligent super-apes, our family of heroes and a hungry Galactus. You’ll believe a man can be good. Superman is back, Lois! And this time he’s not Space Jesus. He’s a good man trying to do the best he can in a world more complicated than this hero was created to address. Still, he perseveres and inspires others to do their best too. This version of Superman isn’t without flaws. Neither in the character nor the film. But, gosh, is it sincere. Can’t get much more punk than sincerity. Dan Moren, John Moltz and Guy English.

Meet us down at the crossroads but put yourself in a circle of salt first because we’re coving the last three episodes of Ironheart. An intriguing show that you’d thnik whould puts magic up against technology but, instead, goes full Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups with it. A little late due to travel and holiday plans but we’re here with our coverage of the first three episode of Marvel’s Ironheart. We pick up with Riri Williams at MIT and things go off the rails from there as she finds herself embroiled in a life of “fun crime with whacky characters” which, it turns out, isn’t all fun and games. There’s some interesting themes brewing under the sufrace here, some highs and lows, and we’re prompted to ask the question—is Han Solo a weenie? Dan Moren, John Moltz and Guy English.
