Week 2 of the series The Patient Acquisition of Virtue continues through the Sermon on the Mount.  What does it mean to live whole-heartedly?  How do both grow and mature this kind of heart? 

The Sermon on the Mount is one of the most well-known passages in the Bible. It teaches a life of virtue that goes beyond what anyone can obtain. How do we live it? How do we grow to obey the teaching of Christ?

Who are we as a church? What are our values? Where should we focus? The more clearly we see Jesus, the more clearly we understand ourselves.

The Christian faith has always emphasized the service of others. Why do we serve? What causes this change in the heart?

In Colossians chapter 4 the apostle Paul teaches us to apply the gospel to those outside the church. How should christians think about the world?

Chapter 3 of Colossians encourages a mindset focused on things above and an identity firmly rooted in Christ as we allow God to form us into the sons and daughters he already declared us to be through Christ. How is God speaking to you and re-ordering your heart while meditating on this chapter?  

Colossians chapter 2 explores the danger of missing the gospel because of our cultural assumptions. How are we in danger of misunderstanding the gospel in our generation?
