The Phillies signed right-hander Jordan Romano to a one-year, $8.5 million contract on Monday at the Winter Meetings in Dallas. Barring a miracle, Juan Soto isn’t signing with the Phillies.He has received multiple $600 million offers, according to Fair Territory’s Ken Rosenthal. Soto could make a decision before the end of next week’s Winter Meetings in Dallas. We said on this show last week that the Phillies had not met with Soto. We even wondered if an offer would be made. Luke Murton is the Phillies’ new player development director, following Preston Mattingly’s recent promotion to GM.Murton spent the past two years as the Minor League’s hitting development director, but he also split his team scouting amateur players that he thought would be good to bring into the system.
