Erythema multiforme (EM) is an uncommon inflammatory skin disease. The onset is often very sudden and concerning and can affect the skin and mucous membranes leading to other issues (anorexia, difficulty defecating, etc.). The condition can require anywhere from no treatment to immunosuppressive drugs.
