Difficult patients cannot only create unpleasant situations but also have a negative effect on us and the clinic staff.

- Keep your communication assertive and professional

- Remain calm, speak in a calm way.

- Don't get defensive

- Be mindful of your verbal and non-verbal cues

- Be mindful of your internal bias

- Practice active listening

- Set boundaries

- Don't take things personally

- Ground yourself

- Be proactive: Seek a solution
