In this week’s episode we are joined by the APEDOCS NFT co-founders Dr Shirin and Dr Usama as they share their journey to creating the world’s first NFT for healthcare workers! Hear their unique story from studying medicine in the UK to eventually practising medicine in the US to later building a thriving community through digital art. 

In this jam-packed episode we delve into Dr Shirin’s personal journey, her popular Instagram page and her love for art which was a perfect match for Dr Usama’s passion for Blockchain and Web3.

We discuss what an NFT is, the importance of ownership, the real-life utility APEDOCS provide, the many perks holders can expect and what it takes to build a healthy and supportive community of healthcare professionals across the world.

Dr Usama is a medical doctor who graduated from Imperial College London in 2016 before moving to New York to pursue residency training in the US. He is currently a Board Certified Dermatologist working in New York. His interests include blockchain technology, football and video games.

Dr Shirin is a medical doctor who graduated from King’s College London in 2018. She moved to New York shortly after to pursue residency training. She is currently an Internal Medicine Resident Physician in Manhattan. She shares her journey as an international graduate in Medicine, as well as her passions for travel, modest fashion and art on her instagram blog @halalgirlnewyork.
