These women, who were sex workers advertising services online, went missing between 2007 and 2010. Their bodies were found within a quarter-mile of each other, wrapped in burlap, suggesting the work of a serial killer.Rex Heuermann, a 59-year-old architect from Massapequa Park, Long Island, was arrested in July 2023 in connection with these murders. He has been charged with multiple counts of first- and second-degree murder related to the deaths of Barthelemy, Waterman, and Costello, and is the prime suspect in Brainard-Barnes' death.
