How to deal with Kleptomania? - Hot Seat with Ankur

My concern is related to a recent event that occurred where my father (50 years old) was caught (not redhanded) stealing clothes, bedsheets, towels, money, etc. from his best friend's house causing immense hurt to him and us. He has lost jobs in the past due to this habit and we have tried talking to him about this behavior but he has no answer and keeps mum about it. Could you please suggest how we can help him improve as a human being and stop him from his compulsive stealing habits?"

Further, he explains ways to help the person as a family and how we can understand their safe space to talk and admit about the condition.
