The Last Duel tells the story of the events leading up to the last sanctioned duel to the death in France. The movie tells the events from three perspectives; Jean, Jacques, and Marguerite. Following the rape of Marguerite by Jacques, Jean (Marguerite's husband) challenges Jacques to a duel to the death putting Marguerite at great risk.
