After years of waiting in jail, the sex trafficking trial of former British Socialite Ghislaine Maxwell began this past week. Testimony came from Jeffrey Epstein’s pilot, as well as one of the accusers who did not share her real name. Maxwell has tried to get out of prison 4 times, offering to renounce her British and French citizenship, promising not to flee the country, offering the government $27.5 million to let her out on bond, Judge Allison Nathan declined each time. McClatchey News service reporter Ben Weider is covering this trial..and he has some great insights to share with Katrina Daniel and listeners.
