Today’s episode of In Unison continues our mini-series of discussions with composers to be featured on IOCSF’s upcoming concert program, Freshly Squeezed. The performances will take place on December 4th in Berkeley, and December 18th in San Francisco. For more information on IOCSF’s concerts, please visit iocsf.org

Today’s conversation is with IOCSF alum, composer, vocalist, and voice instructor Soren Austenfeld about their new piece, “Sapphic Fragments: A Meditation on Queer Histories and Imaginaries,” which they describe as “a set of seven mini-vignettes standing on one another’s shoulders in a trenchoat, playing together as one piece of music.”
