How easy is it to become vegan? And what is veganism really like? For many, fear of the unknown or misapprehensions about what a vegan lifestyle is like, are a barrier to trying it out. Gone are the days of limited vegan options, and a plain or unexciting diet – it’s now possible to explore a vegan diet that’s even more adventurous and exciting than a meat-based one, as well as being better for the planet. And outside of food easier to dip your toes into a vegan lifestyle than you’d think, with beauty, fashion and healthcare industries all creating new vegan-friendly alternative ranges.

In the first two episodes of this series we explored the animal welfare roots of veganism, and its place in fighting climate change… In this final episode of Plate Up, in association with The Vegan Society, we’ll be exploring the exciting future of vegan food, some practical tips to starting a plant-based life, and how businesses and local communities can be at the forefront of the fight against climate change, working together to connect closer to nature and the environment.
