2026 is set to be a legendary year for Dragon Ball, as several major announcements will be revealed for the first time at the official Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event in late January. However, an announcement fans have long been waiting for may already have been leaked, based on recent comments from someone close to the series.
Kazuhiko Torishima, a former Shonen Jump Editor-in-Chief who worked closely with the late Akira Toriyama as editor for the Dragon Ball manga, commented on a new Dragon Ball movie -- specifically, a new Dragon Ball Super movie that's been heavily rumored for some time now.
Of course, with Torishima's infamous reputation for being blunt, he didn't express much excitement about the rumored film during a livestream. "With how bad things are, we can't expect much from next year's Dragon Ball movie either, don't you think?" he said on his podcast series, KosoKoso.
