somehow it looks like we brought another serious academic on, and it happens to be one who wrote a heavily bonefeld- & mirowski-inflected survey book on theories of value! for all the points of disagreement we pursue, harry is a very lovely guy and a delight to talk to throughout, and we think that he's done a real service by writing this book for a popular audience. it was a genuinely fun conversation to have, and we hope this comes through in the episode.

episode 10: 'about injuries & abstractions', feat. nate holdren

    1:35:06

the show called in a few favours; asked around; the booking fee alone cost us the first half-year of your patreon. but it was all worth it. that's right... it's the nate episode. feat. nate holdren (@n_hold), the author of injury impoverished. injury impoverished *literally* made me cry. and it's, a work of legal history. buy it and then listen to the episode. also, like, send nate a thank you card first, too★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

episode 8: adore? well, (pt. 1)

    1:26:14

on this episode, cordelia tries to deliver something of an adorno take, edwad expresses frustration with her philosophical illiteracy, and we start the entire conversation over again. then we do that twice more. it's as frustrating as it sounds. it's a two-parter (and, on that note, for the second part you should subscribe to the patreon!)★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

episode 6: a debate is a rude thing to call a pleasant chat

    2:10:59

if you like our podcast, you very well might not like this episode. if you don't, though, and by the by have found the pod through trawling the apple podcasts charts for 'social sciences' and 'economics' until you reached the very bottom of the barrel, this might be for you. in the episode, cordelia responds to a dm asking for debate with a silly if valiant effort to translate the Reel Abstractions line into a minimal set of theoretical propositions such that it'd get through to the disciples of Evidence-Based Leftism. probably something gets flattened, but i mean, it totally could have gone worse. ALSO: paul's added a musical easter egg (the real reason to listen)★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

episode 4: kliman the ladder of abstraction

    1:04:27

this episode is the first part of a (really pretty long) conversation about heinrich + kliman (non-actionable; parody; don't sue us). if you're curious, the discussion gets wrapped up a little better in the patreon counterpart to this episode, another full length episode coming out in a few days. wow, it's almost like we're regular podcasters★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
