How to run a successful restaurant remotely?

Today, we are answering this question from Shane of Alberta, Canada.  Here are five steps you can follow to manage your restaurant while you’re far away. These are measures that my husband and I implement to manage our restaurant business without our physical presence every time:

STEP 1) Start with one manager and later expand.

STEP 2) Get a GOOD bookkeeper that reports to you weekly. If not bi-weekly.

STEP 3) Establish clear targets and a way of measuring performance

STEP 4) Establish WEEKLY rhythms

STEP 5) Take care of the TOP people

Hopefully, these can help you towards managing remote teams successfully.
