On today’s show I am joined by Fiona Murray. Fiona has worked in disability sport for almost two decades – first at national level with Special Olympics Ireland and Paralympics Ireland respectively and now with Special Olympics International where she is Director of Coaching & Education where her primary responsibility is to drive the creation of resources and systems to support the development of coaches across the world, ensuring athletes with intellectual disabilities get access to sport coaches who have the skills and knowledge to facilitate their growth as athletes and people. On today’s episode Fiona discusses her coaching background and influences, coaching and not coaching her children, her career in disability sport, supporting coaches from all over the world in coaching children with different abilities and much more. We hope you enjoy the episode.
