Nick is joined by Harrison Burridge (@hburidge2) from The Chelsea Social (@TheChelsSocial) to look back at the blues first victory of the Mauricio Pochettino, a 3-0 triumph vs Luton & first home league triumph since March 4th when Flowers by Miley Cyrus was number one in the charts. It was a night of many positives. Raheem Sterling bagged a brace to keep up his good start to the season  & looks a man transformed at the moment. Malo Gusto was phenomenal on the right hand side setting Sterling up twice. Jackson got his first Chelsea goal that his performances have so far deserved with Enzo & Caicedo excelling in the middle of the park. All these players came in for high praise.  We then look ahead to who might feature vs AFC Wimbledon in the cup midweek.  Next up we break down the pro’s & con’s of Andrey Santos’s loan move to Nottingham Forest. Carney Chukwuemeka got a deserved leveller for the blues but unfortunately he was the latest player to go off injured. Raheem Sterling played well his performance is praised even by Jam! He won a penalty that unfortunately Enzo failed to convert & we discuss who should take penalties. That was as good as it got with Chelsea starting the second half poorly going 2-1 down to thanks to Antonio & not recovering. Moisés Caicedo made his debut off the bench & it was one to forget with him giving away a late penalty.  Reece James is injured again 🙃. Lewis Hall looks set to leave for Newcastle🙃. On a happier note Roméo Lavia has signed to bolster the midfield. And more good news followed with Hakim Ziyech leaving on loan with the obligation to make it permanent to Galatasary. Nick is joined by Jéssica Frota (@Je_Frota) as Chelsea’s premier league season got under way with a 1-1 draw vs Liverpool thanks to Axel Disasi’s debut goal.  It was an encouraging performance as Chelsea came from a goal down to earn a point in Poch’s first game. It was a shaky start but after that lots of players grew into it with Colwill, Enzo, Gallagher & Jackson singled out for praise.  With Nkunku’s injury worse than initially feared it’s a blow & we discuss the impact that will have as well as the opportunity it opened up for Carney Chukwuemeka who slowly grew into the game.  Robert Sanchez’s debut is assessed as well as Kepa’s seemingly imminent loan to Madrid with Jéss giving her verdict on who she’d like Chelsea to sign.  Reece James & Ben Chilwell we’re announced as captain & vice captains & we give our thoughts on that. The Moisés Caicedo saga is coming to an end, Jéss shares her excitement on his imminent arrival. After an 8 week break the pod returns. We also ponder the futures of Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Trevoh Chalobah & Conor Gallagher. Finally we reflect on life after his departure with Bruno Saltor’s one and only game in charge and then Frank Lampard’s 11 game spell.
