It's the Dynasty Owner playoff semi-finals and Steve and Jay are here to review the first round playoff games in the two Podcast Listeners' Leagues and show everyone who is still around for the playoff semi-finals. Congrats to all four teams still fighting for the Championship in both of those leagues and every other Dynasty Owner league. It's a quick show this week because there are less teams to discuss in those leagues and no trades to review. They review Week 15 and preview Week 16, including Steve's surprising admission about the play at the end of last week's Patriots-Raiders game. It was quite the discussion! After that segment, they make their Week 16 game picks with two Upset picks by Jay and also discuss who they think will be the Player of the Week and Bust of the Week. Never one of them said Zach Wilson even as he was doing terrible on Thursday Night Football right as they were recording the podcast. Brock Purdy had already been mentioned as he played well and might lead Jdawgs49ers to a win over Steve's team in the Listener League playoffs. Steve obviously blames Dustin, the owner of the Nashville Riverboat Gamblers, for trading Purdy to Jdawgs49ers.In other news, they make their Week 15 game picks as well as the Player of the Week and Bust of the Week picks. It's Week 14 and the Dynasty Owner trade freeze is upon us. There were so many trades all over Dynasty Owner. We found a few to break down including a series of trades by our 2019 Chase for the Ring Champion Eddie Driscoll who is making a run at the Championship in his beta league. He made three trades within an hour before the deadline and we chat about them in that context as his strategy was very clear. Week 14 features six teams on bye and fewer games to pick and players to choose from for Player of the Week and Bust of the Week. As usual, both Jay and Steve pick a QB to be Player of the Week. We took the Thanksgiving week off but are back with lots to discuss in just over an hour. We discuss 7 trades so if you like trade talk, this podcast if for you. As usual, we first did updates on standings and match-ups in the two Listener's Leagues. The playoff pictures are becoming clearer but not finalized at all in either league. Out of the seven trades, three were from one of the podcast leagues and Jay found some other interesting ones from other leagues. Lots of variety and players being dealt as only Alvin Kamara was involved in more than one deal. We review what's happened in the past two weeks, but really dig into the big Week 13 story which is Deshaun Watson returning from his suspension to play against the Houston Texans. It's overshadowing some great and likely high scoring 4 PM games, such as Miami vs. San Francisco and Kansas City vs. Cincinnati. Both of them pick QBs in those 4 PM games as their Player of the Week, but neither pick is Patrick Mahomes. Finally, Jay picks his Bust of the Week first and then Steve picks some "low hanging fruit" as Jay called it for his Bust of the Week. Last week, we were a day early and this week, it's a day later than usual. With a Friday AM recording, we knew that the Cleveland-Buffalo game would be played in Detroit and the results of the Titans-Packers Thursday Night Football game. We did updates on standings and match-ups in the two Listener's Leagues. Both leagues are close with a lot of teams in contention for the playoffs. We made time to discuss trades, including an interesting podcast league one involving six receivers (5 WRs and a TE), including Cooper Kupp. Very out of the box thinking on that deal. The rest of the trades were typical Dynasty Owner trades, but all close calls in terms of who "won" the deal. Since it's Friday, we largely skip the Week 10 recap (except for some discussion of the Bills-Vikings game and Justin Jefferson's amazing catch). Jay is looking forward to the Dallas-Minnesota game, and picks Josh Allen as his Player of the Week and Baker Mayfield as the Bust of the Week. Steve thinks Justin Jefferson has a 50+ yard TD this week so Jefferson is Steve's Player of the Week. Zach Wilson going up against the New England defense after Bill Belichick has two weeks to prepare is Steve's Bust of the Week. What is Dynasty Owner? Both of them pick Patrick Mahomes as Player of the Week because of how he's done this year and the matchup versus Jacksonville. They do have different Bust of the Week predictions. Finally, they predict the Week 10 games and make Upset and Lock of the Week selections. Both of them had Detroit over Green Bay as their Upset last week. Can they do it again?
