Hello Language Lovers! Thank you for joining me for this episode of Speaking Tongues- the podcast in conversation with multilinguals. My guest this week is Matias, a hyperpolyglot who speaks over 12 languages who talks to me today about Catalan and Spanish spoken in his native Argentina.

In this episode Matias tells us how a chance encounter through basketball led him on the path to learning Catalan. He talks about growing up in a monoligual home but tells us how he has been able to learn all of his languages. Matias shares what being a hyperpolyglot means to him and we even talk about Rioplatense Spanish and the influence that indigenous language in Argentina has had on Spanish spoken in the country.

Big thank you to Matias for sharing your journey with us.
