As corporates worldwide pledge to decarbonise their operations, guarantees of origin certificates are set to gain ground as an essential tracking tool. Green credentials have been trading since the early 2000s, but oversupply has long hampered their market consolidation. Now, new trends reveal that oversupply is being replaced by a shorter market for solar and wind technologies, although the presence of large amount of uncertified generation continues to pose risks.

In this new episode of the ICIS Energy podcast, reporter Federica Di Sario discusses with Adam White, secretary general of RECS International, a Brussels-based trade association, how demand is balancing out oversupply on some technologies and why full disclosure is the only way forward.
